2012 Traditional Day Camp

Grades:  Kindergarten through 9th Grade, as well as 3 and 4 year-olds for our Critters Program. (Ages as of June 18, 2012)

Dates:  June 18 – August 24

• Session 1: June 18 - June 22 (1 Week)
• Session 2: June 25 - July 6 (2 Weeks)
• Session 3: July 9 - July 20 (2 Weeks)
• Session 4: July 23 - August 3 (2 Weeks)
• Session 5: August 6 - August 17 (2 Weeks)
• Session 6: August 20 - August 24 (1 Week)

1 Week Sessions = $195 each

2 Week Sessions = $385 each

Our Day Camp program provides age-specific fun and instructional activities under the direction of trained counselors.  The Traditional Camp program is split into three units based upon the grade level that campers are entering in the fall.  Each unit has their own cabins, bathrooms, game space and special activities.

This is a general schedule. There are special activities held each session, which change the daily activity schedule. The Activity Period choices offered are age-appropriate and are dependent on staff knowledge, space availability and random sign-up during the session. Activity Period changes may be made by campers with the Program Director on Tuesdays after lunch and are contingent on program availability.

Critters

Age: 3 & 4 Years Old

Ratio: 1 to 6

Critters operate in one-week sessions from June 25 - August 17.

Critters are a creature of their own. They come to camp and participate in a modified camp schedule that meets their needs. They will take daily swim lessons, participate in sport and crafts, and learn about nature.  Scheduled snack time and naps will happen daily. Staff members have experience with this age group and will ensure activities and daily schedules are age appropriate. Campers are expected to be appropriately independent in the bathroom and not require diapers.

Eagles

Ages: Entering Grades K - 2

Ratio: 1 to 8

Eagles campers travel around Camp with their cabin groups. The goal is to build friendships, have fun, learn new skills and feel comfortable at all program areas.  Activities in this unit include archery, playground, nature, arts & crafts, boating, sports, daily swimming and more! 

Middlers

Ages: Entering Grades 3 - 5

Ratio: 1 to 10

Middlers are provided with additional responsibility and privileges around Camp.  After taking a Camp tour, they choose some of their program areas. Campers sign up for a different second week schedule. Middlers are assigned one period of swimming each day with their cabin group. Our counselors help to build friendships among the campers and a sense of community within the Unit.

Voyagers

Ages: Entering Grades 6 - 9

Ratio: 1 to 10

Voyagers are our oldest camper group and they are afforded opportunities to make the most of their Camp experience. Voyagers choose all four of their weekly Skill Classes and are allowed new choices like high ropes, pottery, mountain biking and movie production.  There is a free swim option provided each day. Voyagers are expected to be positive role models for our younger campers.

Possible Skill Classes for 2012

Leaders In Training (LIT) is a program offered for 12 & 13 year old campers.  This is a designated skill class.

We truly enjoy filling summer camp with new opportunities for your camper. Please know that there are no guarantees of which Program Areas will be available each week. They are based on Counselor availability and camper enrollment.
