Linda Quigley, Site Director

This is Linda's first year with the Southern District YMCA.  She is thrilled to be working in Seabrook supporting children and families through the YMCA's philosophy.  Linda has four children and four grandchildren and will be welcoming a 5th grandchild in December.  She has many years of experience working as a site director for school age children, both in New Hampshire and in Massachusetts. Linda has worked in the school as a special needs aide, and has experience working with vision impaired and autistic children.  In Massachusetts, Linda advocated at the state level for the professionalization of the school age educator field.   Her program was a recipient of a significant school age grant, enhancing the children's learning significantly. Linda understands the need for community involvement and work at creating partnerships within the community. She believes that children learn best with hands on experiences, and she strives to make that happen as much as possible. She believes teaching children conflict resolution practices enables them to meet challenges head on while building self- esteem.  Parents are an integral part of any program their children attend; therefore, family involvement is always a welcome addition to any program Linda has the privilege to direct.
