YMCA Camp Lincoln Build-a-Bench
Everyone at camp needs a place to relax, talk to friends and listen to the sounds of nature.
Aldo Leopold, the author of “Sand County Almanac”, a very influential conservation book, designed a simple two person bench made from 2x8 lumbers for bird watchers and nature lovers to move around and place in locations where they can enjoy a view.
Here is a chance to participate in the YMCA Camp Lincoln Build-a-Bench Fundraiser. A goal has been set to have 100 benches around camp by the end of of 2006.
Now is your chance to support the camp’s effort with a donation that will last a lifetime. A brass plaque on the back of the chair will honor a family member or a friend. Proceeds from the benches will provide scholarships to needy children and will help support a variety of camp projects.
