School Age Child Care
School Age Child Care programming is designed to help nurture the potential in every children in the communities we serve. Our goal is to help children succeed socially, emotionally and academically in developmentally appropriate ways. The Southern District YMCA SACC program will focus our club programming on four core content areas: Art, Literacy, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math), as well as Health and Wellness. In addition to our club programming, children will participate in 30+ minutes of physical activity per day as well as have an opportunity for free choice activities as well as receive a healthy snack/breakfast. Throughout our daily programming, the YMCA’s 9 Dimensions of Well-being of Health, Character, Achievement, Giving, Meaning, Safety, Belonging, Inspiration, and Relationships will be at the forefront of our thoughts as we plan and implement our school age child care program.
Families are welcome to visit our program anytime. Our staff look forward to talking with you about your child's day, answering any of your questions, and helping you get to know how your child spends their out of school time.
Our staff act as positive role models while always exhibiting the YMCA's four core values: caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. Our staff also encourage the children to display the four core values while they are at the program.
Registration is now being accepted online. Please note that your child may start attending the program two business days after registration is submitted.
