Organizational Goals:
1. Establish an active Board of Directors that both effectively integrate the organization vision and reflect the community the YMCA serves.
2. Establish effective and ongoing communication with all known alumni (former campers and staff and retired board members).
3. Raise funds to provide scholarships to all individuals seeking assistance in the YMCA programs and to provide the financial support that allow the organization to accomplish their vision.
4. Create a work place where all staff are treated fairly and compensated adequately.
5. Establish a comprehensive year round outdoor education program to meet the educational and recreational needs of schools, non-profits, businesses, and family’s throughout the YMCA’s service area.
6. To offer the most diverse and highest quality summer camping program in the region.
7. To provide the premier before and afterschool program in the region
8. To become the region's leader in providing enrichment programs for children and families during out of school time.

Program Goals:
Through its programs the Southern District YMCA/Camp Lincoln seeks to help individuals:
1. To develop self-confidence and self-respect and an appreciation of their own worth as individuals
2. To develop a faith for daily living based upon Judeo-Christian teachings that they may thereby be helped in achieving their highest potential as children of God; while being sensitive to respecting individual beliefs and including all people in YMCA programs regardless of their religion;
3. To grow as responsible members of their families and citizens of their communities;
4. To appreciate that health of mind and body is a sacred gift and that physical fitness and mental well-being are conditions to be achieved and maintained;
5. To recognize the worth of all persons, and to work for interracial and intergroup understanding;
6. To develop their capacities for leadership and use them responsibly in their own groups and in community life;
7. To appreciate the beauty, diversity, and interdependence of all forms of life and all resources which God has provided in their world,
8. To develop an ethical basis for guiding the relationships of mankind with the rest of God's natural community.
